    Drive Islamabad to Naran

    Depart early morning on the scenic drive north through the Hazara region. The route follows the Kunhar River through increasingly dramatic terrain as you climb into the Kaghan Valley. Pass through Balakot, Kawai, and the picturesque towns of Shogran viewpoint area before reaching Naran, a bustling mountain town surrounded by pine forests and snow-capped peaks. Mobile coverage (primarily Jazz and Zong networks) is available in major towns but limited or absent in remote valleys. Wi-Fi is available at most hotels in larger towns but may be slow or intermittent. We recommend informing family of limited connectivity periods.
